Program Manager for Transformation Initiatives

Reporting to the Chief Strategist for Accreditation, Data, and Transformation Initiatives, the Program Manager for Transformation Initiatives is responsible for leading the institutional transformation planning, execution, and monitoring the implementation of the JCSU’s Strategic Plan, UNCF Transformation Initiative(s), and other related efforts across campus. Moreover, the Program Manager will serve as the Transformation Officer and manage and oversee programs and projects to ensure proper workflows and timelines, efficient processes, milestones, and success measures are designed, implemented, and tracked to support and sustain institutional transformation. This position requires a combination of project management, strategic planning, and stakeholder engagement skills. Working directly with the Chief Strategist, the Program manager will be the primary point of contact with the United Negro College Fund (UNCF), offices, departments, divisions, project leads, and other stakeholders—across JCSU. Hence, this role collaborates with several cross-functional transformation initiatives (i.e., academic, operational, financial, etc.) to build transformational change approaches and facilitate complex organizational changes to position the university for future success.
QualificationsBachelor's degree required; master’s degree preferred. Minimum 5 years of exemplary performance in multi-stakeholder work environments that enhance overall efficiency and effectiveness. Experience working broad range of institutional/organizational constituents, and overseeing and managing large-scale programs, strategies, initiatives, projects, and/or project portfolios. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Thorough understanding of university departmental functions (enrollment, finance, etc.). Ability to help manage multiple initiatives concurrently. Demonstrated flexible, analytical, and timely problem-solving ability. Strategic thinking and ability to align efforts to the university’s strategic goals. High attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy. Proficient in MS Office applications and ability to learn university, department, and job-specific software systems.
