My client is a privately owned, contract manufacturing company that makes customized products. This manufacturing site in New Hampshire is a start of the art facility that has roughly 200 employees.
Job Description
The Industrial Engineer will be responsible for:
Design and modify work centers to minimize material movement and enhance overall productivity.Develop and implement improved material handling and dispensing methods to lower labor demands and reduce poor body mechanics.Apply time and motion study tools to determine staffing needs and balance workloads across all positions within a work cell.Establish standard operating procedures for each operator position by SKU or product family, ensuring documentation is easy to train to a diverse production team.Collaborate with manufacturing engineers to create automation solutions.Identify and adopt standard ergonomic assessment tools to enhance workstation design and minimize injury risk.Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for product structure, including bills of material and manufacturing routings.MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law. The Successful Applicant
The successful Industrial Engineer will have the following qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineeringor a related field1-3 years of relevant experience; candidates beyond this range will also be considered.Demonstrated proficiency in Process Engineering.Familiarity with methodologies such as DMAIC, PGMEA, Six Sigma, and/or DOE.Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification is preferred, but not required.Experience with DMAIC, PFMEA, Solidworks, Tableau, Value Stream Mapping, 8D, and Process MappingApply today for immediate consideration
