Job Overview

Position Summary:

The Contract Engineer will oversee internal project management tasks, including the assessment of orders, evaluation of layouts, and component specification analysis. This role is essential for ensuring the effective management of HVAC-related projects and requires a solid understanding of CAD software.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate communication between Sales, Engineering, and Manufacturing teams.
  • Analyze and interpret project specifications alongside cost estimates.
  • Engage with clients and field representatives to ensure project alignment.
  • Utilize both Internal and Vendor Selection Software for project execution.
  • Adjust CAD drawings for client submissions as necessary.
  • Guarantee timely completion of all internal and external reporting requirements.

Qualifications:

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in planning, organizing, and prioritizing multiple projects.
  • Ability to work autonomously with minimal oversight.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with colleagues and clients.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with AUTOCAD is essential.

Education and Experience:

  • Preferred Associate Technical or BS/BA Degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 3 years of CAD experience is required.
  • At least 3 years of experience in Project Management is preferred.
