WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:

In this position, you will get to:

  • Be part of an energetic and collaborative Product Approvals team covering three business segments of nVent (Enclosures, Thermal, Electrical Fastening)

  • Be the point person for obtaining all required product certifications such as UL, CSA AEx/ATEX/IECEx/UKEx, for nVent products to have maximum global reach

  • Use your knowledge and experience as a member of dynamic cross-functional project teams bringing new products to market with the proper certifications, and supporting changes to existing products that require certification updates.

  • Support internal and external certification audits, maintain inspection records, and collaborate with the appropriate departments to resolve variances

  • Maintain Agency certificates and nVent Declarations of Conformity

  • Participate in the ever changing and challenging Standards Development arena

  • Educate both internal and external audiences on Standards and Certification requirements through training and technical papers

  • Ensure nVent products continue to meet and exceed certification performance and construction requirements

YOU HAVE:

  • Bachelor's Degree or other relevant experience in similar discipline

  • Minimum 2+ years of experience in similar Industry/Business.

  • Experience working with external certification agencies, such as UL, CSA, Intertek, FM.

  • Familiarity with the following standards are a plus: UL 508A, UL 62368-1, UL 60335-2-40

  • Familiarity with Global Hazardous area certifications such as Class & Division, AEx, ATEX and IECEx/UKEx is a plus.

  • Experience in process improvement through implementation of Digital Solutions

  • Experience utilizing business systems (i.e. SharePoint, Teams, ERP and Product Data Management).

  • Ability to travel up to 10% domestic, 3% international
