Job Summary:

The Vice President of Operations for our fast-growing soup dumpling-focused concept, Ugly Dumpling, will oversee the daily operations of multiple units, ensuring high standards of quality, service, and operational efficiency. This role requires a dynamic leader with a passion for the restaurant industry, exceptional problem-solving skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. The VP of Operations will play a critical role in driving the growth and success of our brand. Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership:

Develop and implement operational strategies that align with the company’s goals and objectives. Collaborate with executive leadership to define and execute business plans.

Operational Oversight:

Oversee day-to-day operations of all units, ensuring consistency in service and product quality. Implement and monitor standard operating procedures (SOPs) to enhance operational efficiency. Conduct regular site visits to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

Team Management:

Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing operations team, including regional and unit managers. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that encourages professional growth. Implement effective training programs to maintain high standards of customer service and operational excellence.

Financial Management:

Develop and manage operational budgets, ensuring financial targets are met. Analyze financial reports and metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement cost-control measures. Drive profitability through strategic planning and effective resource management.

Quality and Compliance:

Ensure all units comply with health, safety, and sanitation regulations. Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and customer service. Address and resolve any operational issues promptly and effectively.

Expansion and Growth:

Support the company’s growth initiatives by identifying and evaluating new market opportunities. Oversee the opening of new units, ensuring smooth and successful launches. Collaborate with the real estate and development teams to identify and secure prime locations. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or related field. Advanced degree preferred. Minimum of 10 years of experience in restaurant operations, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role. Proven track record of managing multi-unit restaurant operations, preferably in a fast-casual or quick-service environment. Strong financial acumen and experience in budget management, P&L analysis, and cost control. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make data-driven decisions.
