    Job Description

    Responsibilities:

  • Design and maintain control systems for semi-automated equipment.
Ensure equipment meets relevant safety and performance standards.Troubleshoot and resolve issues with electrical and mechanical systems.Handle the repair and upkeep of production and research equipment.Update and enhance existing control systems.Develop and fabricate process fixtures as needed.Design and implement new process control systems.Provide training for technicians on equipment operation.Oversee maintenance activities.Manage calibration processes.Create and document training procedures for staff.Develop and manage drawings related to production processes.Monitor equipment performance to ensure optimal efficiency.

The Successful Applicant

Ideal Candidate:

BS in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Physics, or related field.Proficiency in LabVIEW and National Instruments hardware.CAD experience, preferably with Fusion 360 or SolidWorks.Knowledge of digital and analog electronics.Ability to troubleshoot and repair complex electro-mechanical systems.Experience designing control and motion control systems.Hands-on wiring and mechanical skills.Knowledge of electrical, pneumatic, plumbing, and vacuum systems.Self-starter with strong organizational and communication skills.
