This person will be a member of the corporate partnership activation team, assisting leaders of the department with relationship building, execution, and overall management of the teamsâ corporate partnerships, and helping drive revenue by renewing and growing our partnerships. This position will be involved in all aspects of the Partnership Departmentâs overall operations, including community programs, digital campaigns, special event planning, brand management, and media management. The Director, Partnership Activation will report to the VP, Corporate Partnerships. What will you do?
  • Build and nurture relationships to serve as a strategic partner to all Kansas City Current corporate partners and prospects
  • Create and execute partnership inventory management and activation strategy for organization in accordance with industry best practices
  • Develop a deep understanding of each partnerâs business and industry and the goals and objectives of their partnerships to better serve them 
  • Manage various projects within the Corporate Partnerships Department that will positively impact the teamsâ strategy for current and new partners. Projects include, but are not limited to community relations projects, social media strategies, unique event curation and maximizing PR efforts, etc. 
  • Develop a proof of performance process for tracking and measuring the effectiveness of assigned partnerships platforms to demonstrate ROI
  • Assist with partnership presentations and meetings including renewal proposals, mid-season, and end of year recap presentations
  • Coordinate venue signage production and installation
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
 What do you need to succeed?
  • Bachelorâs degree in business, marketing, hospitality management, or a relevant field.
  • 5+ years of experience in partnership sales, activation, and/or management
  • Proven track record in selling and/or servicing B2B accounts
  • Exceptionally organized with strong project coordination and management skills, capable of meeting tight deadlines and thriving in a high-pressure environment. 
  • Dedicated to developing an outstanding partnership activation department, emphasizing excellence in customer service, fostering a positive work environment for all staff, and effectively managing departmental revenue and expense objectives. 
 Preferred Qualifications: 
  • Previous experience managing individuals
  • Experience working in sports, media or entertainment
 Special requirements of the Job:
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule, inclusive of weekends, nights (event evenings & overnight operation shifts) and holidays.
  • Ability to monitor company communications and respond to time sensitive matters with senior executives. 
  • Travel may be required
