This role directs and monitors the receipt, storage, inventory, and transfer of aviation, glycol, and ground fuel products per local, state, federal, and Airport Authority standards and regulations. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
The intent of this job description is to provide a representative summary of the major duties and responsibilities performed by employees in this job. Employees may be requested to perform job-related tasks other than those specifically presented in this description.

  • Operates Control Room, directs and monitors receipt, storage, issue, transfer, and product inventory/accounting operations of aviation, glycol, and ground fuel products using automated systems, and maintains product inventory to meet airport and customer demands.
  • Answer phone calls for urgent/emergency work, determine the level of urgency, and contact the appropriate person while creating a work order in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Closely monitors the overall functions of the Control Room and its operating systems.
  • Provides a quality check on all work orders before final closure in the CMMS.
  • Tracks and monitors fuel movement and provides up-to-date operational status of petroleum product inventory, personnel, equipment, and facilities via an automated system.
  • Ensures that fuel transactions are accurately processed and reconciled via automated systems and reviews, maintains, and ensures the accuracy of documents.
  • Reports, records, schedules, and coordinates Control Room system deficiencies and maintenance.
  • Performs meter reconciliations, reports variances to Into-Plane Vendors, sends inventory reports, and samples pipeline receipts.
  • Compliance with all training, environmental, safety, and OSHA standards and regulations.
  • Assists Fueling Systems Operations Supervisor in updating and maintaining operating checklists and procedures.
  • Monitors, reports and responds to emergency warning systems.
  • Performs periodic after-hours facility and resource security checks.
  • Periodically performs fuel quality assurance tests on incoming products as required.
  • Assists with snow removal efforts and other inclement weather-related needs.
  • Performs additional duties as required or assigned.

  • Maximum - Commensurate with experience
  • Minimum $17.83

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Required Education and Experience

  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent
  • Experience: 3 years of aircraft fuels accounting OR data entry experience OR other relevant experience

Preferred Experience

  • Experience: 5 years in a similar fuels-related career field focused on aircraft fuels accounting

Required Licenses or Certifications:

  • Valid NC Driver's License

  • Fuel systems, piping, automated fuel systems, and related equipment and methods used to receive, store, dispense, and account for aviation, glycol, and ground fuel products.

  • Applicable software programs, such as Varec Fuels Manager, CMMS, and MS Office applications
