As an Engineering Support Specialist in our Freeport XA Engineering team, you will provide essential engineering support services for capital and expense projects, while working both independently and with a team conducting project support activities.

•    Supporting cost control activities on small projects including reviewing invoices, ensuring follow-up on payments, validating work orders and recharge, and construction cost tracking.
•    Performing SAP project, administrative and procurement activities, including: Project creation, purchase requisitions (includes project/construction material and service), purchase orders, work notifications, internal orders, prepare projects for closures, expedite project purchases, associated change orders, service entries, and invoice troubleshooting/resolution with Accounts Payable.
•    Projecting closures, partial project closures, equipment file updates, transfer requests, property accounting support, track receipt of Purchase Orders and delivery of project purchases including freight/shipping and export/import, track BASF service entry invoices through non-trade portal, and follow-up on inactive projects and projects with no Project Manager (unassigned, expired, reassigned).
•    Supporting various capital project requests for information including: Asset management form, functional location and technical-material (spares) number creation, feedback on research projects for tax credits, and BASF Site Benchmarking database collection.
•    Being familiar with BASF project methodology and executing non-technical, purchase only projects.
•    Providing general administrative assistance and support to the Area Manager of Projects and the Project Managers/Process Engineers as needed.

•    Hold a High School Diploma/GED (required) or a BS Degree (preferred)
•    Have a minimum of three (3) years of relevant professional experience.
•    Possess advanced knowledge of SAP project and maintenance systems.
•    Have working knowledge of engineering, procurement, accounting and construction practices.
•    Are able to work in a diverse team environment.
•    Have strong analytical, communication and collaborative skills.
