Seattle, United States Amazon Full time

Description

Do you have a passion for Automotive? Do you want to influence the way we define and create next generation automotive in-cabin experiences? Do you thrive in an ambiguous fast-paced environment? If you answered yes to these questions, we want to talk to you

We are looking for a passionate, creative, and results-oriented Product Marketing Manager to define and deliver our product and brand messages to partners and developers, while positioning Amazon as a leader within the auto-tech industry. Sitting at the intersection of product management and marketing communications, you will define the product “narrative” on a global scale, and lead all GTM activities to both partner and developer audiences. You will build relationships and use your influence and industry knowledge to interface with automotive OEMs, work alongside the product team to drive the voice of the customer into the product strategy, feature priorities and creating compelling product messaging, positioning, and naming to guide external marketing and communications. You will also work across the broader Amazon business to create synergies with our GTM approach to the automotive industry.

This is a highly visible position that will interact at all levels and functions of the business. To be successful, you will need to act both strategically and tactically, ranging from the creation of strategies and plans, to the brass tacks of execution. You will be a self-starter, comfortable with ambiguity and individual responsibility working in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment. You must be able to think big while paying careful attention to detail. The ideal candidate will be customer obsessed with the ability to leverage data and insights to influence strategy, and experience with B2B automotive marketing to OEMs, and developers.

A day in the life: You will seamlessly transition between writing a visionary product marketing strategy document, to representing the customer’s voice in a product meeting, to leading a C-suite pitch at an automotive OEM. You will also build and maintain developer facing blogs and websites, while developing the messaging and positioning for a global product launch.

Key job responsibilities

  • Create the overall outbound messaging and communication strategy to guide our global marketing, PR/AR, and BD teams.
  • Partner with Product teams to inform product requirements docs with deep customer and/or OEM insight.
  • Develop compelling marketing assets, including executive-level pitch decks, blog posts, videos, and web pages for both partner and developer audiences.
  • Research and synthesize the customer voice and provide feedback into the product strategy to shape product definition of key product features and functions.
  • Partner with the Partner Marketing and Product Engagement teams to define and prioritize key marketing messages that will most likely resonate with the target market, leading to customer acquisition, engagement and loyalty.
  • Write strategies and plans that effectively communicate big-picture strategies and influence internal stakeholders.
  • Obsess about getting the right message in the right format to the right customer while you function as the subject matter expert for both internal and external audiences.

About The Team

Amazon Smart Vehicles (ASV) is creating transformative products and services that enable automotive OEMs to deliver personalized, proactive, and intuitive digital experiences that delight drivers and passengers, keeping them informed, entertained, and productive while in their vehicles.

Basic Qualifications

  • 8+ years’ experience in product strategy/marketing/management.
  • Experience developing product go to market strategies, and influencing senior managers and peers on the approach.
  • Experience creating compelling marketing content presentations and strong business writing skills.
  • Demonstrated success with B2B and B2C product marketing launches.
  • Experience developing digital and physical event presentations of new products and partnerships; including video content, physical booth space, and product demonstrations.
  • Proven experience creating strategies and ownership of the execution to achieve results.
  • Strong understanding of the automotive industry, and success marketing to all levels of the product development value chain (OEMs, Tier I’s/SI’s, developers).
  • Excellent oral and written communication and executive presentation skills; with examples of using those skills to influence others in the organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects across functional teams, including merchandising, design, marketing, and operations.
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, communications, or relevant field of study, MBA preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA.
