Scheduling Assistant

What will I do in this position if hired?
In this position you will serve as the backup point of contact for Special Congressional events developing schedules and coordinating reservations to ensure an efficiently run operation to meet CVC's mission and vision.
As a Scheduling Assistant, you will:
Utilize the Advance Reservation System (ARS) to input thousands of reservations into a database.
Communicate with a variety of individuals via phone, email, and in person to provide expert guidance on how to book a tour and obtain tour passes to the U.S. Capitol.
Resolve scheduling conflicts or special accommodation issues as requested.
Conduct searches in the ARS database and compiles tour and visitation data to determine tour availability and periods of low, moderate, high and peak visitor flow
Make, modify, and cancel tour reservations.
Assist the Scheduling manager developing, forecasting and scheduling the most efficient and appropriate schedule for Visitor Guides and Visitor Assistants.
Alert the supervisor of controversial situations or problems that could impact operations.
Serve as a liaison for CVC to Congressional staff in communications related to the CVC assisting with special congressional events.
Provide support and collaboration with other division officials to ensure the consistency in the delivery of services and contributes to the efficiency of the CVC mission.
