Business Development Manager, Planning & Performance Management - Mars Petcare

Franklin, TN

The RGM Business Development Manager will be responsible for helping drive the annual sales business planning process, with a focus on reporting and process optimization. This role involves managing analytics related to in-year reporting compared to the business plan, assessing deviations and ensuring alignment with targets. Additionally, the individual will contribute to the development and implementation of key RGM projects within the organization. The role requires a strong proficiency in technical skills and program/product management.

What are we looking for?

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • 5+ years’ Business experience in sales, finance, etc., preferably within the CPG industry

  • 2+ years’ Project Management experience

  • Experience working with multiple business functions

  • Experience with leading highly visible, highly critical projects with Sr. Leadership exposure & accountability

  • High Proficiency in Microsoft Office & Reporting

  • Advanced understanding and management of Project Management tools and processes

What would be your key responsibilities?

  • In-Year Business Plan Reporting: Oversee weekly, periodic, year-to-date, and full-year outlook reporting, comparing actual performance against the annual sales business plan. Develop and implement automated reporting based on pre-designed templates and extract key insights for the broader organization.

  • Program Management: Support the execution of Project Voyager, which focuses on annual sales business planning and requires change management initiatives. Responsibilities include process mapping, value creation, implementation, training, and reporting.

  • RGM Initiative Development: Support the development, rollout, and execution of important RGM business initiatives. Ensure alignment with annual sales planning and collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals.
