Nursing Home Administrator/Executive Director

Position Summary:
Directs the day-to-day operations of the facility in accordance with current federal, state, and local regulations governing nursing facilities, ensuring the highest level of quality care for residents and a safe, comfortable, supportive work environment for employees.
Qualifications:
Current California NHA License
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Accounting, or Healthcare Administration preferred
Strong working knowledge of regulatory compliance and continuing care retirement community operations including Title 22, CDPH, CAHF, etc.
Outstanding interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills
Ability to adapt communication style to that of others and deal kindly and professionally with patients, families, physicians, community resources and the public
Supervisory success, leads by example with basic understanding of CA labor laws
Servant leader, compassion for the elderly and sincere concern for the wellbeing of others
Job Responsibilities:
Ensures the facility operates efficiently, is profitable, and maintains compliance with all standards and regulations for the business
Continually strives to improve the quality of care and patient experiences
Partners with clinical leaders to evaluate and adjust staffing requirements
Prepares and works to annual operational budget, allocating resources to carry out programs and adjusting based on monthly financial statements
Recruits, hires and trains department leaders supporting their recruiting, managing and employee personnel issues in accordance with company policies and employment laws
Creates safe, fun, supportive work environment where staff collaborate for success
Ensures all personnel, residents and visitors follow regulations, policies and procedures
