We are seeking a Lighting Specialist to play an essential role in the US Open experience. In this role, you will be responsible for replacing light fixtures throughout the facility.Â
ResponsibilitiesÂ
- Greet and assist all staff and guests in a welcoming and friendly manner
- Report unattended bags and packages, medical situations, incidents, or emergencies immediately to the command center
- Janitorial servicing of the Arthur Ashe seating bowl (inner stadium) between matches and at the end of the last match
- Replace light fixtures throughout the facility
- Responsible for cleaning the ceiling covers
- Responsible for cleaning out dust from the light fixtures
- Accept material deliveries from suppliers and place in stockrooms
- Provide access to stockrooms to trades and organize the space on a daily basis
- Conduct an inventory of materials and keep a log of materials needed to meet the target stock levels
- Be familiar with NTC procedures
QualificationsÂ
- Must have experience changing light bulbs
- Previous guest or customer service related experienceÂ
- Punctual and presentable shift attendance, neatly groomed in a clean, well-maintained uniform
- Available to work for the full duration of the US Open tournament
- Must be able to work 12+ hour shifts and be available days, nights and weekends
- Willing to work outdoors in various weather conditions and able to stand for extended periodsÂ
- Personable and proactive team player with excellent communication skillsÂ
- Remain calm and focused in a fast-paced environment as well as during stressful situations
- Bilingual (a plus, but not necessary)
