Shift: 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM, Monday to Friday

Contract Duration: 2 Months (with potential for extension)

Compensation: $30 per hour on W2

Job Overview:

  • Engage in the decontamination, sanitation, assembly, packaging, sterilization, storage, and distribution of reusable surgical instruments and equipment, adhering to the hospital's infection control protocols, with a focus on customer satisfaction and patient safety.
  • Carry out additional responsibilities as needed.
  • Address equipment malfunctions and safety concerns.
  • Ensure the integrity and sterility of products and services provided to clients.
  • Collaborate with operating room personnel to ensure timely delivery of sterile products.
  • Maintain a consistent and efficient workflow between the operating room and Central Service Sterile Processing while delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Operate and oversee decontamination machinery.
  • Reprocess reusable Patient Care Equipment (PCE) in accordance with established hospital policies and procedures.
  • Manage and maintain steam autoclaves, documenting completed loads, items processed, and maintenance activities performed.
  • Operate and maintain Gas Plasma (i.e., Sterrad) equipment, keeping records of loads completed, items processed, and maintenance procedures executed.

Qualifications:

  • Covid Vaccination Card
  • High School Diploma or Associate Degree
  • Current Resume
  • Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) or Registered Central Service Technician (RCST)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
