Job Description
SCOPE OF POSITION
The Administrative Assistant provides secretarial and administrative assistance to an Executive Director or Assistant Administrator. Flexibility, organizational skills, attention to detail, initiative, resourcefulness and willingness to work as part of a team are required. This position manages complaints with excellence in communication skills. This position is involved in setting appointments, maintaining calendars, transcribing, distributing minutes from various committees if necessary, and working collaboratively with all co-workers and customers. Actively serves on committees/PI Teams as indicated. Maintains and ensures current/accurate professional licensure information is readily available. Coordinates meetings/activities of the Director. Ensures timely communication to the Directors' staff. This position ensures policies are reviewed, accurately revised (when applicable), and distributed.
Retaining confidentiality is of utmost importance.
Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION EXPERIENCE
An Associate Degree preferred, with two years past secretarial experience required. Clerical experience in a healthcare setting is desirable. Must be proficient in all aspects of secretarial skills including, but not limited to typing, filing, and dictation. Must be able to compose correspondence using proper sentence structure, grammar, spelling and punctuation. Excellent public relations and problem solving skills are necessary. Must have strong computer skills and proficiency and the use of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
