Discovery Education is looking for a highly skilled Senior Marketing Operations Specialist to support strategic operations in Marketo and other marketing systems, including building and supporting standard and new programs such as email, nurture, lead capture, events, and webinars. The role of the Senior Marketing Operations Specialist is to focus on execution, accuracy, testing, and optimization of the campaign operations process. The Senior Marketing Operations Specialist is detail oriented, tech savvy, able to manage multiple deadlines, service oriented, and a strong communicator. This role will work with internal clients to implement marketing automation best practices and deliver best-in-class campaigns.

This role will sit in our Charlotte Headquarters with a hybrid schedule.

About the Role

  • Execution and delivery of marketing programs, including events, webinars, and integrated marketing campaigns.
  • Work cross-functionally to build and launch email marketing campaigns, including A/B testing, targeting and segmentation, optimization, copywriting, editing, production, QA, and deployment.
  • Manage the email marketing calendar for the K-12 business unit to ensure proper cadence and timeliness.
  • Creation, optimization, and A/B testing of landing pages.
  • Maintain and analyze campaign tracking and reporting to measure the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and identify areas of optimization.

Requirements

  • 4+ years' work experience in a sales, marketing, or related role.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field; or equivalent work experience.
  • Strong foundation in email marketing, building user journeys and triggered campaigns.
  • Marketo Certified Expert preferred - level 1 or equivalent HubSpot/other MAP tool certification or 2+ years' experience working with Marketo, HubSpot or equivalent.
  • Working knowledge of HTML/CSS preferred.
  • Experience in optimizing landing pages and emails.
  • Experience with A/B and multivariate experiments.
  • Strong proficiency using Salesforce, Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and PowerPoint.
  • High sense of urgency and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written, grammatical, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Legal right to work in the United States.
