As a Supervisory Management and Program Analyst (Director, Office of Policy and Programs), you will perform the following duties which are not all-inclusive:
Leads, plans, organizes, and coordinates qualitative and quantitative research, including major research projects related to public policies of national significance that impact working women.
Oversees both qualitative research and policy analysis, as well as quantitative statistical research (both descriptive and inferential).
Advises and assists the Quantitative Research Branch Chief in the use of statistics, methods of statistical analysis, sampling and survey techniques, and development of statistical measures of program effectiveness to achieve desired research objectives.
Evaluates, plans, and identifies ways to improve the economy, efficiency, and effectiveness of policy and program delivery.
Identifies significant policy problems facing working women, developing analytical approaches to address these problems, and applying appropriate answers to resolve problems.
Oversees the development and distribution of the agency's public outreach communications.
Manages the editorial review of all materials prepared for all publications to ensure they are well-written, accurate, well-organized, and logical.
Reports clearly and concisely written findings and recommendations resulting from analytical studies.
Utilizes influencing and negotiation skills to build coalitions, collaborations, and partnerships both internally and with other Federal agencies, State and local governments, nonprofit and private sector organizations to ensure issues pertaining to working women are being raised and meet the mission and goals of the WB.
Speaks, acts, and/or represents the Director and senior management team on policy, research, and administrative issues with principal staff within the Department, other top-level officials in Executive Branch agencies, and Congress, State, and local government officials, and public and special interest groups.
