Identify policy issues in the public transportation sector that have a bearing on agency goals and statutory programs.
Develop and review regulations, procedures, and directives to implement programs, policy initiatives and legislative requirements affecting FTA.

Formulate policy recommendations for regulatory and legislative proposals and review regulations and other directives needed to implement policy initiatives and statutory requirements affecting FTA.

Coordinate and oversee FTA's engagement in audits by GAO and DOT's OIG.
Implement an integrated policy management system to support policy formulation.
Ensure consistency of FTA's policies, programs, and legislative developments.


The ideal candidate for this position is a mid-career professional who has excellent project management and communication skills; has experience leading and motivating employees; and is experience in performing data analysis and preparing policy.
