What will I do in this position if hired?


This position is being hired in compliance with the Hermit's Peak/Calf Canyon Fire Assistance Act to staff the Hermit's Peak/Calf Canyon Claims Office within FEMA.


In this Supervisory Management and Program Analyst position, you will fill a leadership role in the Appeals, Audits, and Arbitration Branch of the Hermit's Peak/Calf Canyon Claim Office and provide supervisory oversight to program analysts in the identification, development, and management of resources to support claimant appeals and external audits.


Typical assignments include:
Managing, leading, and developing a team of staff.

Overseeing project management and development of processes, policy, tools, guidance, and communication products related to claimant appeals and external audits.

Writing and reviewing high quality briefing memos, reports, presentations and talking points for leadership and external audiences.
Synthesizing complex information into recommendations for leadership decision-making.
Managing resources to ensure timely processing and responses to appeals and audit recommendations and findings.
Representing the Agency in a variety of forums with stakeholders.
Developing and sharing reports and information that will inform performance reporting and continuous program delivery improvements.
Tracking progress of corrective actions to address external findings and recommendations.

What else do I need to know?

This position will be hired into a temporary 4-year, excepted service appointment. Appointments may be renewed based on workload, funding, and supervisory approval.
