HANA MAKGEOLLI (hananmakgeolli.com; @hanamakgeolli) is a Korean rice wine brewery based in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. We are the first brewery to produce artisanal Korean rice wines here in NYC and the U.S. Our products showcase the breadth of the Korean sool category and are made with organic rice, using natural and traditional Korean brewing methodologies.
Role
The Sales & Operations Coordinator is responsible for supporting our direct to consumer sales, wholesale logistics, and production/sales related procurement in addition to helping with day to day logistics for the brewery. The right candidate has a mind for operations with a strong attention to detail and an ability to multitask. Due to the small nature of our team, the role may also include helping with certain aspects of production, events, and marketing on an ad-hoc basis depending on the company’s needs
Part-Time Approximately 25 hours a week Required to work from brewery in Greenpoint, Brooklyn Pay is $20 to $24 per hour depending on experience plus paid sick leave
Responsibilities
Fulfill all direct to consumer sales orders through our nationwide shipping program Monitor our contact@ email and respond to all customer, wholesale, and Tasting Room related inquiries Execute website and system updates with relevant company, product, retailer, and pricing changes in particular in accordance with management guidance Track against production and sales procurement schedule with submission of orders and tracking of shipments Coordinate logistics for wholesale pickup with local distributor or any direct accounts Upkeep and maintain our existing inventory management system and reports for all Hana Makgeolli products Support development of new SOPs and improvement of existing processes Liaise with management, production, and tasting room teams Maintain overall operations project plan, calendars and regular meeting agendas Organize and maintain company files and assets Support ad hoc projects (logistics for marketing, events, and collaborations)
Qualifications
Experience in breweries/ wineries, manufacturing, or hospitality is preferred Ability to understand, and organize multiple departments, projects, and workflows Proficient in Microsoft, Google suites. Adobe is a plus Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a high attention to detail and focus on critical thinking Familiarity with Squarespace and Square Up or other relevant POS and website management platforms Creative thinker with mind for execution and efficiency Team-oriented, responsive, and comfortable collaborating in a positive manner Resourceful and motivated to work quickly and according to deadlines 21 years old or over
