Responsibilities:
  • Address walk-in client needs
  • Call customers on notices including underwriting and gathering information
  • Process renewal reports
  • Process lapse prevention reports weekly
  • Process insurance company claim reports
  • Process endorsements received via mail, email and fax
  • Process all cancellations received via fax, email and mail
  • File new active files in File Room (for all agents)
  • Move files from Active to Cancelled (or reverse) in File Room (for all agents)
  • Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned by Office Manager and President

Incoming Phone Calls:
  • Handle all lender requests to confirm coverage or make a change to an existing policy (calls, email, fax, or mail requests)
  • Assisting customers who need to make a payment or confirm receipt of a payment.
  • Handle all change requests within their current state.
  • Processing ID card requests and other miscellaneous document requests (faxed, emailed, or mailed).
  • Handle all referring agent/subagent requests for declarations pages or other documentation.
  • Process rewrite requests for clients moving out of state etc.
  • Process change requests for clients adding units, deleting, units, etc.

Qualifications:

To be considered for the Personal Insurance Support Specialist position, applicants should:
  • 5+ Years Property & Casualty Insurance experience
  • Active MI resident P&C License
  • Multi-tasker
  • Independent Worker
  • Good Listener
  • Computer Skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, Office)
