Pacific Community Design is hiring for a Civil Engineering Project Manager. The Civil Engineering Project Manager plans and directs design engineers, drafters, and technical engineers working on specific projects. Utilizing experience as a Civil Engineer, Land Use Planner, Landscape Architect, or Land Surveyor, the Project Manager supports a wider group of disciplines. The Project Manager is the primary contact on any given project, working with the client during construction, with contractors, and with the jurisdiction, and delegates resources based on client requests and project needs. The Project Manager is the first point of contact for issues that arise and uses strong solution-based problem-solving skills in decision-making.

Responsibilities, Tasks, Authority:

· Handle workload projection, create project budgets, and delegate work efforts to staff.
· Track all permits, applications, and correspondence with the client, jurisdictions, and other team participants.
· Maintain the budget and workload estimates for proposals and ongoing projects.
· Review client invoices in billing software to provide input for invoicing.
· Manage requests from the contractor, client, or jurisdiction against the scope of the contract and communicate adjustments to ensure project success.
· Manage through subordinate managers and other professionals from various disciplines within PCD working on the project.
· Oversee the completion of the project from the initial planning and budgeting phase through project closeout.
· Cultivate a collaborative working environment with the Planning, Survey, Landscape Architecture, and Engineering teams, as well as work closely with the Project Assistant and other disciplines as needed.
· Maintain a high degree of professional participation in the industry; network with other professionals, attend speaking events, and develop the image associated with the PCD brand.
· Support the growth of PCD by actively seeking out and creating opportunities to bring in new business as well as ensuring continued relationships with current clients.

Qualifications:

· 10+ years of experience in Land Development or Civil Engineering.
· Strong organizational skills, including understanding scope of work and delegating responsibilities to team members.
· Strong analytical skills, demonstrating the ability to determine the best course of action and identify the necessary resources to accomplish tasks.
· Good problem-solving skills, with a firm grasp of the vision, aims, and expected outcomes of the project.
· Proven leadership skills in motivating the team to achieve goals and overcome barriers.
· Strong communication skills to ensure all tasks, goals, and expectations are defined for all individuals working on the project.
