Duties

At the full performance level, major duties include:

Develops, implements, and maintains strategies to manage knowledge as a strategic asset.

Provides input in the development, implementation, and assessment of the annual Division of Complex Institution Supervision and Resolution (CISR) training plan, with extensive input and consultation with staff throughout the Division's diverse functional and geographic areas.

Participates and facilitates development, implementation, and evaluation of CISR knowledge management systems and resources, including intelligent search and retrieval practices.

Prepares and presents management reports evaluating the extent to which policies and programs meet Division of Complex Institution Supervision and Resolution (CISR) objectives. Participates in regular briefings with CISR Director and other executive management.

Assists in identifying opportunities to leverage CISR knowledge with internal and external stakeholders.

Collaborates with executives and managers throughout Division of Complex Institution Supervision and Resolution (CISR) and other divisions to build and maintain sound knowledge management practices that support CISR's ability to fulfill FDIC performance goals and the mission of the FDIC, as well as supervisory training requirements that are mandated by USOPM and/or the FDIC.

Coordinates CISR's communication program to notify staff of changes in regulations, procedures, guidance, or training opportunities.

Coordinates with the CISR intranet coordinator to ensure that the regulatory calendars, resources, tools, and training and professional development materials are updated on the CISR website.

Qualifications

Qualifying experience may be obtained in the private or public sector. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g. Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic, religious spiritual; community; student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. Grade 13: To qualify, applicants must have completed at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the 12 grade level or above in the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as performing at least three (3) of the following functions: 1) Developing communication strategies or playbooks for projects impacting a department or branch; 2) Making recommendations to standardize communications; 3) Collecting data to prepare reports for measuring the outcomes and effectiveness of programs; or 4) Assessing a communication channel for effectiveness to provide a recommendation based on the analysis.

Grade 14: To qualify, applicants must have completed at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the 13 grade level or above in the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as performing at least three (3) of the following functions for an office or division: 1) Developing communication strategies or playbooks for large scale projects impacting an office/division or organization; 2) Developing tools to standardize communications; 3) Measuring the outcomes and effectiveness of programs to develop an effective change management strategy; or 4) Assessing multiple communications channels for organizational compliance and effectiveness to provide a recommendation to leadership based on the analysis.

There is no substitution of education for the experience for this position.

Additional information

Selectee(s) for this position will be required to report to their duty station office two days per week.

If selected, you may be required to serve a probationary period.

The range of pay shown includes base pay plus supplemental locality adjustments. The locality rates for these duty locations range from a low of 33.41% to a high of 40.07%.
