Do you want to work as a Registered Respiratory Therapist where your passion for creating positive patient interactions are valued? The Respiratory Therapist coordinates and delivers high-quality, patient-centered respiratory care in accordance with the nature and specific requirements of the department, and consistent with the scope and standards of practice for the relevant state and specialty. As a vital part of the patient care team, the Respiratory Therapist performs a variety of diagnostic tests and therapeutic procedures and monitors patients receiving invasive and noninvasive mechanical ventilation.
Seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to join our team who will foster an environment of teamwork, quality and safety for our patients. We are an amazing team that works hard to support each other and we are seeking a phenomenal addition like you who feels patient care is as meaningful as we do. You will perform general respiratory therapy to all ages in accordance with age specific criteria including incentive breathing devices, aerosol therapy, chest physiotherapy, oxygen therapy and suctioning.
You will perform and evaluate diagnostic studies to include bedside spirometry, pulmonary mechanics and blood gas analysis.
You will have accountability for delivering quality respiratory services and for promoting a positive image of the department.
Graduate of an AMA approved Respiratory Therapy program required.
~ Credentialed as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) issued by the NBRC.
~ Respiratory Care Certification issued by the Texas Medical Board.
~1 year of experience in an acute care facility preferred; licensed new grads will be considered
