Respiratory Therapist Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at HCA Houston Healthcare Kingwood. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and promoting a positive image of our department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality respiratory care to patients of all ages, including incentive breathing devices, aerosol therapy, chest physiotherapy, oxygen therapy, and suctioning.
  • Perform and evaluate diagnostic studies, including bedside spirometry, pulmonary mechanics, and blood gas analysis.
  • Accountable for delivering quality respiratory services and promoting a positive image of the department.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an AMA-approved Respiratory Therapy program.
  • Credentialed as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) issued by the NBRC.
  • Respiratory Care Certification issued by the Texas Medical Board.
  • 1 year of experience in an acute care facility preferred; licensed new grads will be considered.
