Reports to: Vice President of Operations

Location: Woodland Hills

Salary Range: Comparable to local market

Position Purpose:

This position will report to the VP of Operations and will be expected to manage the day-to-day business of the Non-Delegated Mortgage Lending Company, including sales and operations. This position does require the candidate to work from our offices in Woodland Hills.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the day-to-day business needs of the company, including management of sales and operations team
  • Business development expansion and sales growth to meet the company objectives by hiring highly qualified sales representatives
  • Develop, monitor, and manage Non-Delegated business drivers, metrics, and models
  • Manage the company’s Profit and Loss statement and other financial reporting, including company budget
  • Create, manage, and execute strategic and tactical initiatives necessary to achieve company goals
  • Lead the development of sales routines, incentives, and processes to facilitate the development of enduring relationships with clients, prospects, and internal partners
  • Work with Operations to ensure that workflow, communication, and service level accountability are mutually agreed upon, measured, and managed in a timely manner
  • Ensure that consistent and open communication on pricing/margin management strategy leads to production volume in line with operational capacity
  • Continuously and proactively seek competitive intelligence regarding products, pricing and other critical market related tools and issues
  • Collaborate cross-departmentally on corporate initiatives that impact all entities
  • Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual targets
  • Define and coordinate sales training programs that enable staff to achieve their potential and support company sales objectives
  • Manage customer expectations and contribute to a high level of customer satisfaction

Skills & Requirements:

  • Broker’s License Preferred
  • Experience in a leadership role within the mortgage industry, with a proven track record and results
  • Proven ability to lead projects and initiatives while holding team members accountable, as well as ability to deliver on time and within budget
  • Thorough understanding and knowledge of mortgage banking, including operational workflow, secondary markets, pricing, and margin management
  • Understanding and knowledge of technology which supports mortgage banking, including loan originations systems and core systems, preferred experience with Encompass
  • Solid understanding of mortgage products, regulatory compliance, and underwriting guidelines
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with executives, peers, and associates
  • Ability to solve complex issues independently, timely and under pressure
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills (Excel, Power Point, etc.)
