The Director of Business Development at CYLNDR will have the opportunity to shape the future of our studio. Reporting to the Managing Director, this role will partner with the leadership team to identify and secure new business opportunities. By leveraging their business acumen, cultural insights, and passion for creativity, they will help scale our business and forge new brand partnerships, driving our mission forward.

This position requires a unique blend of strategic thinking, creative insight, and a deep understanding of cultural trends. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who thrives in a collaborative environment and is passionate about delivering exceptional creative work.

Responsibilities

  • Craft and implement strategic business development plans that align with CYLINDERs goals, focusing on innovative approaches to market expansion.
  • Develop and nurture long-term relationships with key brand decision-makers, understanding their needs and how CYLNDR can meet them.
  • Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities with brands, leveraging industry insights and trends.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of cultural trends to inform and enhance business development strategies and creative work.
  • Maintain a project-led pipeline, demonstrating the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with agility and resilience.
  • Work closely with the creative and production teams to ensure a unified approach to brand storytelling and content creation.
  • Lead by example, demonstrating a hands-on approach to business development while fostering a collaborative team environment.
  • Conduct thorough market research to identify new trends, opportunities, and competitive insights.
  • Provide comprehensive reports and insights to senior management, highlighting progress, challenges, and opportunities.


Professional Skills & Knowledge

  • 5-7 years of experience in business development, preferably in a production company, creative agency, design studio, or related field.
  • Strong network of brand and industry contacts, with a proven track record of securing new business opportunities.
  • Exceptional understanding of cultural trends and their impact on branding and marketing.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across different teams and disciplines.
  • Proven capability to forge meaningful brand relationships
  • Experience leading a team towards innovative growth
  • Strategic thinker with a creative mindset and the ability to see the bigger picture.
  • Highly motivated, with an entrepreneurial spirit and a commitment to excellence.
  • Ability to travel as needed to meet with potential clients, attend industry events, etc.
