Job Summary:
This position is responsible for assisting with the direction, coordination and operation of the GNG lines. This role oversees all the GNG lines to ensure we are producing the highest quality product in the correct quantity and in an efficient manner.
Job Responsibilities:
Effectively perform all positions in the Grab and Go department as needed.
Deliver the assignments/ production schedule to the line leads and material handlers.
Maintain WIP (Work in Process) carts to the correct specifications and food safety throughout every day.
Conduct product inventories and maintain par levels.
Ensure production crew is on task and assign any problem areas.
Recommend and assist the Team Lead in hiring, disciplinary action, paperwork and scheduling functions.
Complete all assigned paperwork daily.
Ensure product specifications are followed.
Perform product yield test for Team Lead/ Manager.
Reconcile inputs and outputs daily to ensure proper lot coding and inventories.
Monitor finished product for quality.
Control labor costs through productivity.
Communicate effectively with company leadership as well as all other departments; proactively addressing areas of concern.
Follow allergen, GMP and other safety policies and procedures.
Maintain a safe working environment to reduce injuries and workers compensation claims.
Ensure food safety compliance as it relates to this position.
All other duties assigned.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the food industry specifically relating to quality and production
Forklift experience preferred
Must be able to proactively and effectively communicate processing results with all levels in the Company
Possess strong leadership
Organizational and computer skills
Ability to work with little or no supervision
Must be competent and understand all areas of function within Produce Pro
Environment is cold and wet.
Requires standing and/or walking for long periods of time (8+ hours per day).
Ability to lift 50+ pounds on a regular basis.
