Flagship Carwash, the regional leader in auto washing and detailing for over 35 years with 28 locations featuring industry-leading technology and service to deliver the cleanest, shiniest and driest car in the industry. The brand has grown from 11 locations in September of 2021, with plans in place to more than double in size in the next three years.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The Training manager should have outstanding written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills. The Training Manager is expected to be a strategic thinker with exceptional organizational and time management skills. The Training manager should understand the business operations and decision-making process with a keen interest in producing targeted and tangible results by creating an effective, safe and efficient workforce. The Training Manager will work directly with leadership and internal subject matter experts to align and deliver standardized methodologies and supporting training tools for all operational activities.


PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • Broad-based professional with expertise in multi-unit operations training and support
  • Capable of working cross functionally, implementing change management through influence and demonstration of positive outcomes
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and delivering training
  • Ability to implement systematic processes and initiatives that enable scaling the business
  • Analytically minded to use data and metrics for decision making and translates data driven planning into actions with a keen sense of urgency to achieve results
  • Ability to work transparently and manage multiple activities with strict deadlines
  • Ability to work in a fast passed, constantly change environment and effectively execute multiple priorities
  • Demonstrated proficiencies in Microsoft Office
  • Attention to detail
  • Outstanding communication and facilitation skills


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Operational Training Development and Implementation

  • Review operations execution and management processes and benchmark against industry established best practices using performance data and qualitative observations
  • Identifies key job function characteristics to deliver against customer expectations and achievement of organizational aims and objectives
  • Identifies appropriate training platforms, supporting content development of training materials necessary to execute operational functions at various levels
  • Measures training effectiveness through performance observation processes and certifications methodologies
  • Champions effective change management techniques to facilitate adoption and success of new programs
  • Provide insight and recommendations for training to support short- and long-term growth initiatives


Technical Training Development and Implementation

  • Identifies training resources and methodologies for the technical (mechanical) aspects of the car wash operations
  • Supports the development of technical training programs for facilities maintenance
  • Partners with facilities maintenance leadership to provide reporting and tools to drive accountability on performance relative to established goals
  • Reviews performance results and provides specific recommendations in response to initiate corrective actions through training


Education, Work Experience Requirements and/or Competencies:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business administration, communications, organizational design, organizational development or related industry experience
  • Minimum experience of 3 years in a training leadership position
  • Familiar with various wash platforms and service models within the car wash industry highly preferred
  • 5+ years’ experience within multi-unit operations (strong preference from car wash industry and/or gas station, convenience store, quick lube)
  • Cross functional experience in large scale multi-unit operations
  • Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated leadership ability, confidence, and executive presence with a keen sense of urgency for achieving results
  • Bi-lingual (English and Spanish) written and oral communication skills a major plus


Physical Requirements:

Periods of standing and presenting materials in front of a group

Periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer

Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds

Must be able to travel 75-80%
