Job Summary:

Serco North America is seeking a skilled Document and Training Development Specialist to support the Federal Emergency Management Agency Public Assistance recovery initiatives in Zone 2 across the Midwest. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in developing high-quality documentation and training materials to support the success of our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in the development of PA Program guidance documents and tools
Create/provide training aids, instructor guides, student manuals, and web-based training for PA course instruction
Provide technical, technical editing, graphic development, and formatting for PA documents

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will have:
5 years minimum of prior Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Public Assistance (PA) experience
Bachelor's degree and 5 years experience in disaster fieldwork or field of expertise; a graduate level degree or professional registration with 2 years of experience in disaster fieldwork or field of expertise; or 10 years of experience in disaster fieldwork or in field of expertise
Experience with technical writing
Demonstrated knowledge and experience in recovery arena
An adult learning background and experience
1-2 years of experience providing training support
The ability to obtain and maintain FEMA Public Trust
A United States Citizenship
The ability to maintain FEMA specific trainings
Strong Microsoft Office Skills, excellent written and oral communication skills
The ability to deploy to any location in zone 2 with a 24-48 hour notice after Task Order Award

Additional Desired Experience and Skills:

Knowledge of the FEMA Public Assistance Program/Policy
Trained in the Public Assistance delivery model preferred
Active FEMA badge
