  • PAY RATE: $20-$22/hr

    SUPERVISORY: No SUPERVISED BY: HR Manager

    POSITION SUMMARY: The Timekeeper is responsible for auditing and editing the assigned locations (resorts) timecards and sign-off for that assigned property. This is a shared responsibility between the employee and supervisor to ensure employees work time and time off is reported accurately and approved as required by regulatory and company policy.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTONS:

    General Responsibilities
    • Daily and Weekly: review employee's timecards to ensure employee's time is accurately recorded and complete
    • Daily and Weekly: work with employee and or supervisor to resolve errors (i.e., missed punches, meal break adjustments, correct job, schedule changes)
    • Assist supervisors and employees with edits or questions regarding UKG
    • Produce and review audit reports via UKG. Coordinate with manager/employee to correct errors on time error reports:
      • Review and make necessary changes that appear on exception reports
      • Review all Audit reports as required on the Timekeepers check list
      • Review the biweekly reconciliation report and process adjustments as needed
    • Process approved historical requests for prior pay periods that have been signed-off by direct reporting manager
    • Meet all required Payroll cut-offs: Sign-off on the departmental timecards by the timekeeper's sign-off deadline
    • Comply with payroll deadlines and coordinate with the assigned payroll specialist and local HR partner regarding timing to determine if manual pay processing must take place in the Workday payroll system
    • Act as the front-line support for questions from employees and supervisors and determine if an issue needs to be escalated to the UKG HRIS/Payroll systems analysts for further review
    • Responsible for timekeeping at assigned location. Ensures timely processing of all-time records at the assigned location
      • Ability to support a Fast-Paced Seasonal employee Ramp Up, and Ramp Down
      • Ability to work and support a flex work schedule, to include weekends and seasonal holidays
    • Assist the payroll specialist in researching and resolving any payroll issues/discrepancies pertaining to the general ledger caused by time entry
    • Other duties as assigned by supervisor/manager

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, talk, see, hear, and operate a computer and other office productivity machinery. Will be required to walk through all weather conditions to/from the administrative offices. Workplace is approximately 95% indoor, 5% outdoors.

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
    • 3+ years of Time and Attendance experience. UKG/Workday preferred (Kronos Workforce Dimensions a plus)
    • Experience with weekly, bi-weekly, hourly, and salaried payrolls
    • Knowledge of FLSA guidelines and Idaho labor laws
    • Workday experience preferred
    • UKG (Ultipro) - UTA experience preferred
    • Proficiency using MS Office (Word, Excel, etc.)
    • Knowledge of computer network systems.
    • Understanding of manual payroll process from timecard calculations to the posting of payroll to the general ledger.
    • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
    • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills. Able to interact effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization.
    • Food and Beverage/ Hospitality/ Ski Industry preferred
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills
    • Ability to tackle tough problems with firm deadlines
    • Desire to work in a fast-paced environment

    EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: Associates degree in accounting or similar field, or equivalent 3+ years' experience

    LICENSE NEEDED: Valid drivers license insurable through Schweitzer Mountain, restrictions available upon request. Preferred, Not Required.

    MACHINES OR TOOLS OPERATED: Phones, copiers, switchboard, computers, fax, printers, postage machine, laminator, misc. office machines.

    JUDGEMENT / MENTAL COMPLEXITY: Moderate

    REVIEW SCHEDULE: This position and the person filling it will be evaluated once per season.
