ROLE SUMMARY:
The Aircraft Structures Specialist is tasked with ensuring the integrity and airworthiness of our fleet, adhering to established maintenance protocols and aviation regulations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Executing aircraft and component tasks as outlined in work orders, in alignment with the manufacturer's Maintenance Manual and the approved maintenance procedures.
- Maintaining a tidy work environment, ensuring all documentation is completed accurately and in a timely manner.
- Verifying that all aircraft meet safety and airworthiness standards as dictated by manuals and regulatory requirements.
- Exemplifying ethical conduct, demonstrating professionalism in all workplace interactions, and supporting the mission of Empire Airlines.
- Performing additional responsibilities as required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Must possess an Airframes Certificate.
- A minimum of two years' experience in commercial or military heavy-check structural repairs is essential.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, along with a valid driver's license that meets insurability criteria.
- Adherence to the FAA/DOT mandated Drug and Alcohol Program is required.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Role may involve working in a hangar setting, significant outdoor tasks, and occasional travel.
- Exposure to noise and potential hazards associated with aircraft maintenance is expected.
- Physical demands include standing, walking, sitting, bending, lifting up to 80 pounds, and manual dexterity.
- Empire Airlines promotes a drug, alcohol, and smoke-free workplace.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
- Starting hourly wage range (based on experience): $27.70-$32.40.
- Incentives for qualifying hourly pay: $1 for A&P license.
- Projected starting hourly total: $28.70 to $33.40.
- Annual pay increases and additional incentives available upon qualification.
