INTRODUCTION: The Aircraft Structures Specialist is responsible for ensuring the safety and airworthiness of the company's fleet in accordance with established maintenance protocols and regulatory standards.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Execute maintenance tasks on aircraft and their components as specified in the relevant work documentation, adhering to the manufacturer's Maintenance Manual and the approved maintenance program.
- Keep the work environment organized and tidy; ensure all documentation and records are completed accurately and promptly.
- Uphold the safety and airworthiness of the aircraft in line with the company's maintenance guidelines and federal regulations.
- Exemplify ethical conduct, foster a professional workplace atmosphere, and actively support the mission of Empire Airlines.
Other related responsibilities may be assigned as necessary.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Airframes Certificate is mandatory.
- A minimum of two years of experience in commercial or military heavy-check structural repairs is required.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential; a valid driver's license with an insurable record is also required.
- Compliance with the company's FAA/DOT mandated Drug and Alcohol Program is necessary.
WORKING CONDITIONS: Work may take place in a hangar setting and could involve significant outdoor tasks along with up to 25% travel. Exposure to noise and potential hazards associated with aircraft maintenance is expected. The role requires physical stamina, including standing, walking, sitting, bending, and lifting up to 80 pounds, as well as the use of ladders or lifts. Manual dexterity, along with the ability to speak, see, and hear, is crucial for effective job performance. Empire Airlines maintains a drug, alcohol, and smoke-free workplace.
PAY & BENEFITS: Starting hourly base pay range (DOE): $27.70-$32.40. Qualifying hourly pay incentives: $1 for A&P license. Expected starting hourly total: $28.70 to $33.40. Annual increases and additional incentives are available once qualified.
