We are seeking experienced Human Resources Specialists to work at our Newport Beach office.

Human Resources (HR) specialists play a crucial role in supporting various HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, benefits administration, and compliance. HR specialists ensure adherence to all HR policies and procedures while working closely with employees and management to foster a positive work environment. The ideal candidate for this position should have a positive attitude, be willing to assist the COO with all tasks, and support employees.
HR specialists provide support in staffing, recruitment, benefits administration, compliance, employee training, employee relations, and special projects for designated business units.
Recruitment and Hiring:
- Assist in developing job descriptions and job postings.
- Manage open positions through third-party websites, including resume screening.
- Coordinate the hiring process, including scheduling interviews and managing candidate communications.
- Conduct reference and background checks.
- Assist with onboarding new employees, including preparing offer letters, employment contracts, and conducting orientation.
Employee Relations:
- Serve as the first point of contact for employees' inquiries about HR policies, benefits, and procedures.
- Assist in addressing employee concerns and resolving workplace conflicts in a timely and professional manner.
- Ensure that company policies and practices are communicated and followed.
- Assist in investigations of employee grievances and disciplinary actions.
Benefits Administration:
- Assist with benefits enrollment and processing, including health, retirement, and other employee benefit programs.
- Respond to employee questions regarding benefits, claims, and eligibility.
- Stay updated on federal, state, and local employment laws related to benefits administration.
HR Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, including FMLA, ADA, and EEOC guidelines.
- Maintain and update employee files, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Assist in preparing compliance reports and audits as needed.
HR Programs and Initiatives:
- Support the development and implementation of HR programs, including employee engagement, performance management, and training initiatives.
- Assist in organizing employee recognition events, wellness programs, and other HR activities.
- Participate in the continuous improvement of HR processes and procedures.
Record Keeping and Data Management:
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee records, including attendance, benefits, and personal information.
- Utilize HR software and systems to track employee data, generate reports, and manage HR metrics.
- Ensure timely updates to employee records in the HR system, including changes in position, salary, and status.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. (HR certification such as SHRM-CP or PHR is preferred.)
- Experience: 2-4 years of experience in HR or a similar role.
- Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of HR policies, procedures, and employment laws.
- Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- High level of confidentiality and professionalism.
- Problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
