Education
Bachelor’s Degree or law degree preferred.Required Experience:
Strong understanding of California Workers’ Compensation law and litigation procedures.Minimum of 5 years of legal practice experience, Workers’ Compensation case handling required.Persuasive legal writing and oral advocacy skills.Strong evaluation and negotiation skills.Trial experience is preferred.Strong legal research and writing skills.Solid MS Office proficiency (Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook)Lexis Nexis experience is a plusPosition Summary
The Hearing Representative position is an in-house fully LA County - REMOTE position that may handle a designated caseload of Workers’ Compensation cases and appearances before the California Workers' Compensation Boards in Marina Del Rey, Long Beach, Los Angeles, Van Nuys, and Oxnard. This position will be part of collaborative learning environment with onsite appearances in partnership with our Attorney and Senior Attorney Staff.- **Only those lawfully authorized to work in the designated country associated with the position will be considered.**
