ISO Services is a growing 40+ year old industrial services and maintenance company. We are a division of Ergon Construction Group, Inc. Our services include specialty trades of insulation, fireproofing, painting/coatings, scaffolding & heat tracing.


Position Overview:

We are looking for a self-motivated, self-starter to help us grow in South Louisiana (Baton Rouge area). The Business Development Representative is responsible for sales and sales-related duties as defined in the job description and reports to the Director of Business Development. Those duties include, but are not limited to the following: identifying new customers, developing and maintaining relationships with new and existing customers, and securing bid opportunities with both new and existing customers. The Business Development Rep is a results driven, problem solving, strategic business partner who best represents ISO Services by understanding the needs of the customer and implementing strategies to exceed expectations.


Key Duties and Responsibilities:


1. Update and maintain our CRM database (Salesforce) by identifying, and adding prospect, customer & market information on upcoming & existing opportunities.

2. Present and articulate ISO Services capabilities, company history and our value proposition.

3. Promote and embody Ergon’s Core Values.

4. Possess strong, local plant relationships allowing for face to face meetings in plant facilities.

5. Plan and coordinate business development activities at both the Corporate and branch levels.

6. Assist with presentations, proposals and other collateral materials to ensure they are current.

7. Attend job walks, site visits, safety meetings and other plant related events/meetings.

8. Secure new master agreements allowing us to qualify and work in plant facilities.

9. Consistently focus on customer relationship strategies via events, association meetings, etc.

10. Keep management informed of our prospects and customer’s needs.

11. Perform necessary research to identify and prioritize both the marketplace and customers.

12. Participate in planning and strategy to ensure goals and KPI’s are a stretch, reasonable and on track.

13. Maintain and leverage the synergies/relationships with other Ergon Company departments, contractors and EPC’s.


Educational Requirements:

· Associate or Bachelor’s Degree (Business, Sales/Marketing, Construction/Engineering) preferred OR significant successful industrial sales experience in lieu of a degree.


Applicable Experience & Competencies:

· Minimum of 3+ years experience in industrial sales with strong existing plant relationships in the market is required.

· Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.

· Previous sales experience in industrial services, equipment sales or soft crafts are a plus.

· Strong organizational skills, including the ability to work independently.

· Basic knowledge of construction, negotiation, understanding of contracts.

· Basic Computer Skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, SalesForce).

·This Business Development position is a hybrid position with an office in the Hammond, Louisiana area & the candidate must be willing to travel (+/- 30% mostly in the South Louisiana area). Territory is heavily focused in Baton Rouge and the surrounding areas.

Position includes an excellent salary, annual bonus, 401(k) with company match, profit sharing, and a complete benefits package to include vehicle allowance.


Candidate must be physically able to climb ladders and stairs and other activities related to job walks, safety related training, etc.
