The Converge Enterprise Cloud Solution Architect (SA) is a member of the CTS Managed Services sales enablement team responsible for assisting and supporting Converge Account Executives throughout the entire solutioning and sales lifecycle process.  This support includes opportunity qualification, proposal development tracking, proposal presentation, pipeline reporting and the closing of CEC sales opportunities.  This position requires continued CEC solution education, emerging technology insight, competitive awareness, and pipeline management.

Our Managed Services portfolio is a very comprehensive portfolio that covers Managed Cloud Services, including Managed Services and hosting of IBM Power Systems, Intel/VM Hosting, Backup and Managed Backup Solutions, Disaster Recovery as a Service (DRaaS) and more.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Create, manage and execute sales plans that focus on selling managed services solutions into our key accounts, with a focus on achieving revenue goals consistently on a quarterly and annual basis
  • Working directly with CTS Account Executives (AE) to plan and manage both account and sales opportunity strategy.
  • Identify, qualify, orchestrate and close new managed services business within net new and existing accounts
  • With account AE, develop a detailed understanding of organizational structure, competitive landscape and technology needs within focus accounts.
  • Prospect independently and with AE partners into targeted named accounts. Develop and execute sales campaigns to create demand, work closely with lead generation, CTS partner community, and sales engineering resources to build and manage a robust pipeline of new business. Manage multiple complex sales simultaneously.
  • Articulate the CTS value proposition for Managed Services to senior IT leaders, effectively identify and quantify customer challenges and business needs through a consultative sales approach
  • Work within a team environment; manage internal and external resources to execute account and deal strategy and maximize sales efforts and success rate
  • Establish and maintain strong and referenceable relationships with existing client base
  • Forecast sales and revenue accurately
  • Create proposals and Statements of Work in a timely manner
  • Contribute content for RFPs

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experiences Required:

  • Experience in IBM Power Systems and Intel Platform Hosting and Managed Services    
  • Have an understanding of public cloud platforms i.e. IBM, Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform (Converge IP4G) and the benefits and limitations of those platforms
  • Knowledge of the technology market and current trends
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of technology services sales experience focused on managed services, hosting and cloud solutions, with a track record of achievement
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience required
  • Demonstrated success in strategic account selling; with ability to create and execute account planning and strategy
  • Ability to motivate individuals for the common good of our customers
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong negotiation and closing skills
  • Hunter mentality with proven experience in effectively building a revenue base
  • Creative problem solver who can react quickly and multi-task
  • Highly driven and self-motivated
  • Strong leadership and people skills
  • Strong business acumen; articulate and comfortable selling and presenting to senior level executives
  • Holistic understanding of enterprise technologies (IBM Power Systems, cloud, servers, storage, and network).
