The Managing Director of Global Services is responsible for overseeing the strategic direction, management, and operational excellence of the global services function. This role involves leading a diverse team, driving the development and execution of global service strategies, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality services that meet the needs of clients and stakeholders across different regions.

You Will:

  • Develop and implement the global services strategy aligned with the company's overall objectives and vision.
  • Identify and analyze market trends, client needs, and competitive landscape to drive service innovation and improvements.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations of global service functions, ensuring efficiency, quality, and adherence to best practices.
  • Implement and manage global service delivery models, processes, and standards.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing global services team.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and professional growth within the team.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Address client concerns, manage expectations, and ensure high levels of client satisfaction.
  • Develop and manage budgets for global services operations.
  • Support and collaborate with other business groups within the organization such as;
  • Sales to help close new business as needed or design programs that support go to market functions
  • Onboarding and Delivery, collaborating to ensure clients have a consistent experience and resourcing is aligned within the department
  • Client organization, ensuring the company is best organized to achieve its goals for client growth, support and retention.
  • Product, to ensure collaboration around industry wants and trends continuously allowing the company to invest R&D in the most advantageous areas.
  • Monitor financial performance and implement cost-control measures to ensure profitability and efficient resource utilization.
  • Ensure that global services operations comply with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to protect the company's interests.
  • Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of global services.
  • Provide regular reports and insights to senior management on performance, challenges, and opportunities.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement by evaluating and enhancing service delivery processes and methodologies.
  • Leverage technology and innovation to drive service enhancements and operational efficiencies.

You Have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, International Business, or a related field. An advanced degree (e.g., MBA) is preferred.
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in global services management, including at least 5 years leading and running a services practice, preferably at a Product company.
  • Proven leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with global operations and understanding of cross-cultural dynamics.
  • Financial acumen and experience managing budgets.
  • Proficiency in relevant software and technology platforms.
