KOMPAN U.S. is looking for a Training and Development Specialist who will develop and execute learning strategies, design, and deliver training programs, assess development needs, and track learning effectiveness.


This role will ensure that our employees have the competencies and capabilities to support KOMPAN’s growth by mapping global training and employee development needs, playing a crucial role in helping individuals enhance their organizational skills and knowledge.

Who We Are

For more than 50 years, KOMPAN has researched, designed, and built innovative and imaginative commercial playground equipment and outdoor fitness sites that captivate all ages and abilities.


In collaboration with our global headquarters in Denmark, KOMPAN designs, manufactures, and installs more than 1,000 sites a month across 90 different countries. Our North American headquarters, located in Austin, Texas, supports field sales around the U.S. and Canada.

What You’ll Do

  • Assess individual and organizational training and employee development needs by partnering with leaders to develop and implement programs
  • Review already available training and verify that the information is correct and reflects current practices and standards
  • Create training materials and programs to address specific business objectives by delivering e-learning courses, job shadowing, careers plans, workshops, and other trainings
  • Implement and ensure the successful running of company-wide introductions for new employees
  • Develop and implement top-tier onboarding experience for incoming employees
  • Monitor and assess the effectiveness and success of training programs
  • Keep up-to-date on the latest training trends and career development pathways
  • Create a talent pipeline by tracking individual career development, working with managers to foster talent to retain employees
  • Position includes travel within the US up to 40% of the time


What You’ll Need

  • Bachelors degree, with proven experience in training and development
  • Knowledge of effective learning and development methods
  • Familiarity with e-learning platforms and practices
  • Ability to learn new software programs and systems
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Ability to collaborate with varying seniority levels, including colleagues, managers, and external partners
