Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced HR Business Partner to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive HR support to ensure the organization meets its strategic objectives through effective talent management, employee relations, and compliance with employment laws and regulations. The ideal candidate will have a passion for recruiting and assimilating talent in the corporate culture, have a dedication to customer service and approach the position as a true partner to the business. 


Responsibilities:

Talent Recruiting Acquisition: Lead the recruitment process by sourcing, screening, and selecting candidates for various positions within the organization. Develop and implement strategies to attract top talent and ensure a diverse candidate pool.


Staff Training and Development: Design and deliver training programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge. Collaborate with department heads to identify training needs and develop plans for continuous learning and development.


Resolution of Human Resources Issues: Act as a point of contact for employees regarding HR-related questions, concerns, and issues. Provide guidance and support to resolve conflicts and address employee grievances in a timely and fair manner.


Compensation and Benefits: Manage the company's compensation and benefits programs, including salary structures, incentives, and health insurance plans. Conduct regular benchmarking and analysis to ensure competitiveness and compliance with industry standards.


Employee Performance Appraisal Process: Oversee the performance management process, including goal setting, performance evaluations, and feedback sessions. Partner with managers to identify performance gaps and develop improvement plans as needed.


Employee Handbook and Policies: Maintain and update the employee handbook to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures as well as state and local regulations. Communicate changes and updates to employees as necessary.


Payroll Management: Coordinate with the finance department to process payroll accurately and on time. Verify timekeeping records, address payroll inquiries, and ensure compliance with wage and hour laws.


Understanding of Employment Regulations: Stay up to date on federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations. Advise management on compliance matters and recommend appropriate actions to mitigate risks.


Unemployment Claims Management: Serve as the company's representative at unemployment hearings, providing documentation and testimony as needed. Work with legal counsel to prepare for hearings and defend the company's interests.


Manage Requests for Information: Handle requests for information from employees, regulatory agencies, and external stakeholders. Ensure timely and accurate responses while maintaining confidentiality and data privacy.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in HR roles, with a focus on employee relations, recruitment, and compliance.
  • Professional certification such as SHRM-CP or PHR is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations, including ADA, FMLA, FLSA, and EEOC guidelines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • Proven ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and integrity.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems, Microsoft Office Suite, Paylocity and other relevant software applications.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities effectively.
