POSITION

The Senior Market Data Specialist will work in partnership with the market data team, Allspring Business Partners, and critical market data vendors to foster alignment between Business Partner needs and vendor products, services, and activities.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Cultivate strong relationships with internal Business Partners to provide thought leadership for evolving market data needs Responsible for collection of detailed business requirements and provide guidance for market data vendor product selection Manage views of Business Partner market data consumption patterns, spend, and contract renewals to identify trends and manage alignment of business strategies with market data vendors and products Point of escalation for Business Partners in navigating internal market data solutions, and external vendor products / services and roadmaps Partner with Head of Market Data to create negotiation strategies to ensure proper licensing and Business Partner alignment

CANDIDATE

This individual plays a key role in the success of the market data team’s objectives to provide high quality, cost effective market data, strategic planning, product selection, vendor management, financial reporting, and inventory / cost review and control.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

+ years of market data experience with implementing and/or managing market data systems / functions Detailed knowledge of market data content, including all asset classes - equity, funds, ETFs, fixed income, derivatives, etc - and content types; such as, pricing, news / research, ratings, analytics, fundamental and reference data, terminals, etc Prior experience with, and strong knowledge of, market data vendors, industry products, and best practices in market data management Exemplary communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills conveying complex information in a clear and concise manner Detail oriented and self-motivated with strong research and analysis skills Ability to effectively respond to dynamically changing work environment and positively influence business outcomes

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Ability to work creatively and collaboratively with a diverse group of vendors, internal Business Partners, and market data team to improve acquisition and on-going management of market data Passion, curiosity, and a desire to understand vendor businesses and Business Partner use cases Outcome driven and can work independently with all levels of staff and senior management Ability to create, develop, and maintain key relationships both internally with Business Partners and externally with vendors Capable of multi-tasking with appropriate prioritization, and achieving strict deadlines
