We are looking for a Payroll Specialist Our client in Houston, Texas is seeking a Payroll Specialist on a contract-to-hire basis.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Process and audit daily HR changes including, but not limited to, new hires, terminations, tax changes, wage garnishments, deductions, and direct deposits
  • Facilitate resolution for outstanding paychecks (reissue or escheat)
  • Prepare and print manual checks as needed
  • Complete employee verifications
  • Possess a unique set of skills which include understanding of payroll processes, multi-state payroll taxes, and HRIS/Payroll systems and databases
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience with multi-state payrolls
  • Demonstrated knowledge of payroll tax law
  • Computer skills in Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Demonstrated time management skills, composure, approachability, and interpersonal skills
Preferred Skills:
  • Kronos Workforce, ADP Enterprise, and ADP Reporting experience is preferred
  • Experience with employee self-service and HRIS systems
