Job Summary

The Recruiter primarily focuses on finding great Managers for our restaurants. This position partners strategically with Operations Leaders to recruit talented individuals who will represent On The Border with pride. In addition to recruiting responsibilities, this position will also be involved with administering a variety of people-related processes and systems relating to hiring, onboarding and orientation.

Key Performance Elements/ Essential Functions

Source, Screen, Interview, and Assess Talent

Source and recruit candidates using a variety of outlets, such as job postings and social media, while effectively targeting the best candidates for the jobDevelop relationships with prospective talentSeek out and recommend creative new ways of sourcing talentSchedule candidates’ interviews and then prepare and advise their candidates beforehandReview resumes, cover letters, and assess interview performanceComplete pre-screening and screening activities for prospective employees, which may include calling previous employers and completing background screens.

Partner with Hiring Managers and Human Resources Partners

Work very closely with hiring managers to ensure that searches are targeted to adequately reflect the needs of the manager and the requirements and expectations of the jobIdentify strong candidates who fit the Brand’s Culture and the requirements of the positionDevelop and sustain strong relationships with key stakeholders, customers and peersUpdate key customers on search status through ongoing communication and reports as needed

Qualifications:

Strong organizational, problem solving, and analytical skillsStrong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce internal documents, presentations, collateral materials and field communicationsSome Restaurant/Retail-specific experience, a plus

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or the equivalent combination of education and experience.5 or more years Sourcing/ Recruiting experience, restaurant industry experience preferredBilingual a plusDemonstrating proficiency in Microsoft Office applicationsKnowledge of Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS); TalentReef experience is a plus
