Job Title: Commercial Sales Project Manager 

Company: R3 Roofing & Exteriors

Location: Davenport, Iowa (A relocation package is being offered for this position.)

Responsibilities:

  • Sales, Project Management, Business Development, Estimating:
    • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the commercial roofing sector.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients.
    • Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations to prospective clients.
    • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop effective sales strategies.
    • Oversee commercial roofing projects from initiation to completion, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the client's satisfaction.
    • Coordinate with clients, contractors, and internal teams to ensure seamless project execution.
    • Conduct regular site visits to monitor the progress of ongoing projects.
    • Address any issues or concerns that arise during the course of a project promptly and effectively.
    • Prepare accurate and detailed estimates for commercial roofing projects, considering materials, labor, equipment, and other relevant factors.
    • Collaborate with the procurement team to obtain competitive quotes from suppliers.
    • Revise and refine estimates as necessary based on project requirements and client feedback.
  • Documentation and Reporting:
    • Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including contracts, drawings, specifications, and correspondence.
    • Generate regular reports on project status, budget, and profitability for management review.
    • Ensure all project-related documents are organized and easily accessible for future reference.
  • Federal, State, and Municipal Bidding Experience:
    • Proficient in navigating federal, state, and municipal bid websites with over 5 years of experience in the public sector procurement process.
    • Extensive familiarity with the intricacies of bidding procedures at all levels of government, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and deadlines.
    • Demonstrated ability to manage bonds and insurance related to bids, ensuring all necessary documentation is in place for successful procurement.
  • Collaboration with Various Stakeholders:
    • Experienced in managing roofing projects within the public sector, collaborating closely with architects, subcontractors, general contractors, project managers, and foremen to ensure project success.
    • Skilled in coordinating with various stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle, from initial bid submission to project completion, to ensure alignment with project goals and specifications.
  • Clerical Tasks Management:
    • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, essential for managing complex bidding processes and ensuring accuracy in documentation and communication.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, facilitating effective collaboration and negotiation with diverse stakeholders involved in roofing projects within the public sector.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in commercial roofing sales, project management, and estimating. (Experience is required)
  • Strong understanding of commercial roofing systems, materials, and installation techniques.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
  • Proficiency in estimating software and tools.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Knowledge of local building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
  • Certified in OSHA 10 or 30.

Compensation:

  • Base salary starting from $52,000 annually.
  • Commission: 2% of total net sales, providing an opportunity for additional earnings based on sales performance.
