Position: Commercial Sales Project Manager

Company: R3 Roofing & Exteriors

Location: Davenport, Iowa (Relocation assistance is available for this role.)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales, Project Oversight, Business Growth, Estimation:
    • Discover and pursue new commercial roofing business opportunities.
    • Establish and nurture robust relationships with current and prospective clients.
    • Craft and present persuasive sales pitches to potential clients.
    • Work alongside the marketing team to formulate effective sales tactics.
    • Manage commercial roofing projects from start to finish, ensuring timely completion, budget adherence, and client satisfaction.
    • Coordinate with clients, contractors, and internal teams for smooth project execution.
    • Conduct regular site inspections to assess the progress of ongoing projects.
    • Promptly and effectively address any issues or concerns that arise during project execution.
    • Prepare precise and detailed estimates for commercial roofing projects, taking into account materials, labor, equipment, and other pertinent factors.
    • Collaborate with the procurement team to secure competitive supplier quotes.
    • Adjust and refine estimates as needed based on project specifications and client feedback.
  • Documentation and Reporting:
    • Maintain thorough project documentation, including contracts, drawings, specifications, and correspondence.
    • Generate regular updates on project status, budget, and profitability for management review.
    • Ensure all project-related documents are organized and readily accessible for future reference.
  • Experience with Federal, State, and Municipal Bidding:
    • Proficient in navigating federal, state, and municipal bid platforms with over 5 years of experience in public sector procurement.
    • Extensive knowledge of bidding procedures at all government levels, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and deadlines.
    • Demonstrated capability to manage bonds and insurance related to bids, ensuring all necessary documentation is prepared for successful procurement.
  • Collaboration with Diverse Stakeholders:
    • Experienced in overseeing roofing projects within the public sector, working closely with architects, subcontractors, general contractors, project managers, and foremen to ensure project success.
    • Skilled in coordinating with various stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle, from initial bid submission to project completion, ensuring alignment with project objectives and specifications.
  • Management of Clerical Tasks:
    • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, essential for managing intricate bidding processes and ensuring accuracy in documentation and communication.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, facilitating effective collaboration and negotiation with diverse stakeholders involved in roofing projects within the public sector.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience in commercial roofing sales, project management, and estimation. (Experience is required)
  • Solid understanding of commercial roofing systems, materials, and installation methods.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
  • Proficiency in estimation software and tools.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking capabilities.
  • Knowledge of local building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites as necessary.
  • Certification in OSHA 10 or 30.

Compensation:

  • Base salary starting from $52,000 annually.
  • Commission: 2% of total net sales, providing an opportunity for additional earnings based on sales performance.
