Anode Prep Technician

Amprius develops, designs, and manufactures very high-performance lithium-ion cells for advanced applications. Amprius invented and perfected a 100% silicon anode which enables the highest energy density cell commercially available in the industry.
Summary
The Anode Prep Technician will perform aspects of producing and processing Amprius Technologies’ proprietary silicon anode materials for incorporation into lithium ion cells. This role reports to Process Engineering Manager. This is a TEMP to PERM opportunity.
Job Responsibilities
- Safely operate anode processing equipment (e.g. furnaces, coating systems, punching tools)
- Assembly of anode raw materials into carriers for use in subsequent processing steps
- Measure materials with drop gage, mass scale, and imaging stations
- Assist with processing of product from production tools (cutting into sheets, etc.)
- Visually evaluate defects from a list of standard defects
- Construct test samples for material performance verification
- Input data into online database software
- Maintain safe, organized, and clean work environment
Requirements
- Proficient with hand tools and production equipment
- Exceptional manual dexterity and efficiency
- Basic computer skills and ability to enter data accurately.
- Follow standard work instructions and recommend improvements
- Responsible for quality of tasks performed
Experience and Education
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
- Minimum 1 year of experience as an equipment operator or technician in one of the following industries: Semiconductor, solar, battery, electronics, or automotive.
Physical Demands & Work Location:
- Fremont, CA: This is an on-site job. Reliable commute or planning to relocate before starting work is required.
- Adhere to company’s quality and safety requirements.
- Be able to lift and/or move objects up to 25 pounds.
- May be required to stand, sit, squat, bend, kneel, twist, crawl, reach, lift, balance, push, and pull.
- Must wear personal protective equipment (PPE) including, but not limited to, a lab coat, gloves, safety glasses, face mask, respirator and safety shoes.
Work Schedule:
- 12-hour shift. Shift timings from 5:30 pm to 6:00 am.
- Alternate Workweek Schedule: 3-days x 12-hour / 4-days x 12-hour every other week.

- Salary: $22.00 - $26.00 (DOE)
