Company Overview:

Amprius specializes in the development, design, and production of high-performance lithium-ion cells tailored for advanced applications.

We have pioneered a 100% silicon anode technology that facilitates the highest energy density cells available in the market.

Role Summary:

The Senior Assembly Technician & Quality Assurance is responsible for expert assembly techniques, ensuring proper setup of process equipment, conducting product inspections, auditing assembly processes, and training as well as certifying fellow technicians. The ideal candidate will exhibit exceptional attention to detail, possess strong mechanical skills, and demonstrate a capacity for rapid learning. This position is structured as a TEMP to PERM opportunity.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Set up basic production machinery accurately.
2. Inspect cells at various assembly stages and confirm equipment configurations.
3. Audit the assembly process and identify deviations from standard operating procedures.
4. Utilize small tools and equipment to manufacture components and battery cells.
5. Operate larger machinery safely and effectively.
6. Measure materials using tools such as micrometers, mass scales, digital multimeters, calipers, and other basic equipment.
7. Conduct visual evaluations of defects based on a predefined list and general product understanding.
8. Input data into quality management systems.
9. Assemble components into complete battery cells.

Qualifications:

1. Understanding of product functionality and quality standards.
2. Ability to train and mentor other technicians constructively.
3. Follow standard operating procedures while suggesting enhancements.
4. Collaborate with engineers and management to identify and resolve quality issues.
5. Intermediate computer skills with a focus on accurate data entry.
6. Take ownership of product quality.
7. Highly organized, self-driven, and thrive in a dynamic work environment.
8. Capable of multitasking while maintaining attention to detail.

Education and Experience:

1. Minimum of 2 years experience in a manufacturing setting.
2. High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required; technical degree preferred.

Compensation and Benefits:

Salary:
$25.00 to $40.00, commensurate with experience, skills, and training.
