Role Summary

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the upkeep and operation of specialized vacuum-based coating machinery utilized in the production of silicon nanowire anode materials. The ideal candidate will demonstrate reliability, teamwork, and prior experience with vacuum equipment maintenance. This position reports directly to the Director of Equipment Engineering and is initially a temporary role with potential for permanent placement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Utilize hand tools and small equipment for the maintenance of vacuum-based coating machinery.
  • Safely and efficiently operate larger equipment.
  • Adhere to complex operational procedures and guidelines.
  • Ensure cleanliness and organization within the workspace.
  • Record data accurately in database management systems.
Qualifications
  • Experience with vacuum-based semiconductor production machinery is preferred.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair technical equipment.
  • Proficient in the use of hand tools and production machinery.
  • Capable of following standard operating procedures and suggesting enhancements.
  • Basic computer literacy with a focus on accurate data entry.
  • Accountable for the quality of work performed.
  • Strong attention to detail is essential.
Education & Experience
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent is required.
  • At least one year of relevant experience is preferred.
Work Schedule
  • This position requires night shifts on an alternating weekly schedule.
  • Work hours: 3 days x 12 hours / 4 days x 12 hours every other week.
Physical Requirements & Work Environment
  • This is an on-site position in Fremont, CA. Reliable transportation or relocation plans are necessary.
  • Must be capable of lifting and/or moving objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Physical activities may include standing, sitting, squatting, bending, kneeling, twisting, crawling, reaching, lifting, balancing, pushing, and pulling as needed.
  • Personal protective equipment (PPE) such as lab coats, gloves, safety glasses, face masks, respirators, and safety shoes will be required.
Compensation & Benefits
  • Salary: $32.00 per hour (dependent on experience).
  • Traditional and Roth 401(k) plans available.
  • Monthly cell phone reimbursement of $50.
