Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and versatile Instrument & Electrical (I&E) Field Engineer to join our dynamic team.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in electrical and instrumentation systems, with proven
experience in installing, commissioning, and maintaining industrial plant equipment. In addition to expertise in PLC
programming and SCADA systems integration, the successful candidate will also provide mechanical support for plant
operations.


Key responsibilities include the installation, configuration, and calibration of instrumentation and control systems,
troubleshooting and repairing electrical faults, and performing routine maintenance tasks. The I&E Field Engineer will
work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project execution and will play a critical role in optimizing
plant performance and reliability.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Installation:

● Install, configure, and calibrate electrical and instrumentation systems, including wiring, control systems,
sensors, and transmitters.
● Ensure all installations comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and project specifications.

Commissioning:

● Perform start-up procedures for new equipment and systems, ensuring they operate correctly and efficiently.
● Conduct functional tests and troubleshooting to validate system performance and integrity.

Maintenance and Servicing:

● Develop and execute preventive maintenance schedules for electrical and instrumentation equipment.
● Conduct routine inspections and predictive maintenance tasks to identify potential issues before they lead to
equipment failure.

Troubleshooting and Repair:

● Diagnose and repair electrical and instrumentation faults, ensuring minimal downtime.
● Utilize technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic tools to identify and resolve issues.

Mechanical Support:

● Provide mechanical support for plant equipment, including rotating machinery, pumps, and compressors.
● Assist in the mechanical installation and maintenance of equipment, ensuring proper alignment and operation.

PLC and SCADA Systems:


● Some understanding with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and Human Machine Interfaces (HMIs) to
allow them to troubleshoot and diagnose issues and to;
● Ensure integration of PLCs with plant control systems and SCADA systems.

SCADA Integration:

● Implement and maintain SCADA systems for remote monitoring and control of plant processes.
● Ensure data integrity and system reliability for efficient plant operation.

Documentation and Reporting:

● Create and maintain detailed documentation for installed systems, including wiring diagrams, schematics, and
user manuals.
● Update maintenance logs, service reports, and calibration records.

Compliance and Safety:

● Adhere to all safety protocols and regulatory requirements during installation, maintenance, and servicing
activities.
● Ensure compliance with environmental and industry standards, such as NFPA, NEC, and ISA.

Team Collaboration and Training:

● Work closely with other engineers, technicians, and contractors to ensure smooth project execution and plant
operations.
● Coordinate activities with plant management and production teams to minimize disruptions.

Training and Support:

● Provide training and technical support to plant personnel on the operation and maintenance of electrical and
instrumentation systems.
● Mentor junior engineers and technicians, fostering knowledge transfer and skill development.

Education and Certification:

● Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or a related field.
● Relevant certifications in electrical and instrumentation (e.g., ISA Certified Control Systems Technician).
● Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in installing, commissioning, and servicing electrical and instrumentation
systems in an industrial setting.
● Experience with PLC programming, SCADA systems, and mechanical maintenance of plant equipment.

Technical Skills:

● Proficiency in electrical and instrumentation installation, calibration, and troubleshooting.
● Knowledge of PLC programming languages (e.g., Ladder Logic, Function Block Diagram) and SCADA
integration.
● Familiarity with mechanical systems and ability to provide mechanical support as needed.
